Myles Kelley is a newly graduated pianist/composer from Appleton, Maine. His biggest influences in improvised music are modal icons like John Coltrane and Herbie Hancock, and his songs often encourage intensity and dissonance. Recently, Myles performed a series of small ensemble charts set to film photography in an audio/visual experience titled “Bike Ride”. He has worked in a number of genres across the state of Maine, and is also a member of the southern Maine bands “Midnight Breakfast” and “The Carrier Pigeons”.
Along with the Powerhouse Horn Section, Amy's soulful voice is what defines the sound of Maine Street R&B Revue. She is an in demand vocalist that can also be heard singing lead and backing vocals with Juicebox, The Tumblers, The Blue Sevilles, Him and Her (duo with Jeremy Shirland) and fills in with The Larks occasionally, and sits in with area jazz ensembles.
Leader and Trumpet player Pat Michaud is a retired music educator. For 36 years, he lead the award winning instrumental music program at Hampden Academy.
Drummer, Jake Michaud received his Jazz Studies degree from the University of Maine. He also studied jazz at the world renowned jazz program at William Paterson University in Wayne, NJ. Throughout his career at Hampden Academy, he was involved in the Jazz All-State and All-State Bands and received several Outstanding Musicianship Awards at various jazz Festivals.
Steve Orlofsky, a retired music educator, holds down the bottom on the Bari Sax. For 36 years, he lead the awarding winning band program at George Stevens Academy
Dan Barrett is an Assistant Professor of Music at the Univ. of Maine where he teaches Trombone and serves as Director of the Jazz Studies program. He is a Trombonist extraordinaire!
Gary Walker brings to us one of the most soulful sax sounds in the area. He also serves as pilot for one of the world's major airlines.
Jeremy Shirland is one of the finest guitarists in the area. He "brings it" each time he takes the stage.
We are delighted to welcome back our original Bassist, Brad O’ Brien. He is one of the most in demand bassists in the greater Bangor area and serves as the anchor of MSRNBR.
